Gabbeh rugs are made by nomads in south-central Iran, and feature hand-spun wool in both the pile and the foundation, as well as all natural dyes. Simple, colorful geometric patterns, abstract scenery, child-like representations of people and animals, different colors, reds, blue, greens ,yellow, purple. Modern technology has improved the dye process to allow a wider range of colors as well as more stable and easier to care for colors. Gabbeh rugs are hand-knotted (handmade) thick Persian rug with long soft wool pile. Gabbeh like many other types of Persian rugs is made with local handspun wool and vegetable dye.Tip: We recommend the use of a non-skid pad to keep the rug in place on smooth surfaces.All rug sizes are approximate.
